ME ME ME!!

Well, Friends, I have finally been able to make an action figure  of myself. I have found the perfect head, of which I now make molds, paint, and eventually put onto a headless GI Joe.

Additionally, I have started a collection of really lovely, pigmented casts of this head. Here’s my gallery.

Finally,  I’ve made an action figure of my friend David, who doesn’t look much like me, but what’re you gonna do.

Wrinkles!

Friends! I apologize for my lack of posts as of late: delicate adventures and I have been working a lot of conventions in the last two weeks and we were swamped. But I’m here now, and that’s what’s important.

So “wrinkles” is what I thought I wrote underneath the Pug (“morschinny” in Russian ), but apparently I didn’t make a crucial mark on the character that looks like a “W”. Shame on me for not checking, but I still like the pug.

Alfalfa

My girlfriend to this picture of me on Halloween, dressed as Alfalfa. It looks very depression era, and has very interesting light, so I gave it the old one-two.

Metropolis Art

Metropolis by Fritz Lang is a super movie. I love miniatures, cityscapes, snd robots, so it’s a natural fit.

As you might have guessed, this is ink wash, with a strong technical pen underdrawing. After completing the drawing itself, I overplayed a color layer in photoshop.

Robots Attack!

Oh no! As if Mondays aren’t bad enough!

I drew this robot destroying a city not really expecting much, but I’m really happy with how it came out. I used technical pens for the under drawing, and I used a wash for the shadows. I then turned up the contrast in photoshop and applied a color layer.robot destroys laser bot robot destroys robot destroys
